Meet Kelley and Diane, the dynamic duo behind The Dope Black Collective! These two passionate educators first crossed paths in Southeast Washington, D.C., while navigating their first year of teaching at Orr Elementary School (now Boone). Diane, originally from New York, made her way to the DMV in 2011, while Kelley proudly hails from Washington, D.C., as a native.
Bonding over their shared experiences in education and a mutual commitment to celebrating Black excellence, Diane and Kelley became fast friends. In 2023, they decided to combine their love for teaching, creativity, and community by launching their own business. Together, they create inspiring designs that uplift and empower, making a meaningful impact through their work. Join them on this exciting journey as they blend education and artistry to celebrate the beauty of Black culture!
